Glyphbound: Hanzi Magic

Glyphbound is a NeoForge gameplay mod built around handwritten Chinese glyph magic. Instead of casting spells from a menu or hotbar ability system, players draw Chinese characters with a magic brush, and each recognized character triggers a different spell effect.

The current alpha focuses on the core gameplay loop:

• Craft and upgrade magic brushes from wood to netherite
• Write glyphs such as 心, 命, 忍, 明, 脉, 山, 裂, 泉, 墨, 入, 出, and 劫
• Use glyphs for survival, exploration, combat, healing, terrain control, and arena challenges
• Enter Ink Arenas to gain resources and brush momentum
• Complete Tribulation challenges to unlock higher brush tiers
• Use advanced progression to open the Ink Realm, a new ink-and-paper themed dimension
• Read the in-game Patchouli guide to follow the mod by progression stages

Glyphbound is currently in alpha. The main goal of this version is to test the handwriting-based spellcasting system, brush progression, Ink Arena challenges, Tribulation progression, and the first playable area of the Ink Realm.

This mod requires AozaiInkMC, which provides the handwriting recognition and brush input system.
