Description

Gokis

Gokis is a skill mod for Minecraft — a port of GokiSkills (itself a port of GokiStats) to higher versions, built on Architectury so one code base runs on both Fabric and NeoForge.

Level up skills with the experience points you earn in the world, and open the skill menu with a keybind (default Y, rebindable in Controls) to upgrade, downgrade or toggle any of them.

Cost and bonus curves: cost = (level^1.6 + 6 + level) * multipliers, bonus 0.04 * level per level by default. Both are configurable per skill in config/gokis-common.json.

Credits and ports

Gokis stands on two projects:

  • GokiSkills by Tigercrl — the code base this port is built on;
  • GokiStats by InfinityStudio — the original mod, its menu and its icon sheets.

Both are licensed under GPL-3.0, so Gokis is released under GPL-3.0 as well.

I am Gvoper, the author of this port — the Architectury code base, the Fabric and NeoForge builds, the new skills and everything that was added on top of GokiSkills.

If you port Gokis to another Minecraft version, another loader or another platform, or fork it and publish your own version, please credit me as the author of the port and link back to this page. The same goes for reuploads and for modpacks that ship a modified build.

You do not need my permission to port or modify it — GPL-3.0 already gives you that right. I only ask that my authorship is named and that people can find the original.
