Description

Immortal Snail

Immortal Snail adds a single snail to your Minecraft world that cannot die and never stops chasing players.

This is not a boss fight.
This is not a mob you beat.
This is a problem that keeps getting closer.

If the snail touches you, you die.

Overview

The snail is always chasing someone, usually the nearest player.

You cannot kill it with weapons, lava, or normal traps. It is built to survive and keep moving.

Touching the snail kills you instantly.
Trying to punch it is not a smart idea either.

It can travel through water and lava, so it will not just get stuck and give up like many other mobs.

If mob griefing is enabled, it may slowly break blocks to reach you, including very strong ones. So hiding behind walls is only a temporary solution.

If it gets close again after being farther away, you may get a short chat warning to let you know it is time to move.

Requirements

This mod is made for Fabric.

Commands

All commands start with:

/immortalsnail

These commands are usually for server hosts, admins, or players with permission.

Spawn

/immortalsnail spawn

Starts a 5 second countdown and then spawns the snail near the player using the command.

Only one snail can exist at a time, and you cannot stack multiple spawn countdowns.

Speed

/immortalsnail speed <number>

Changes how fast the snail moves.

Higher values make it more dangerous.

Stats

/immortalsnail stats

Shows a fun stat about how many blocks the snail has broken, if block breaking is active.

Distance

/immortalsnail distance

Tells you how far away the snail currently is.

If the snail is in another dimension or somewhere completely different, the command will tell you that too.

Tips

  • Keep moving
  • Plan your routes
  • Do not rely too much on walls
  • Use the distance command if you want to know how much danger you are in

If you do not want the snail breaking blocks, turn mob griefing off in your world or server settings.

With mob griefing disabled, it will still chase players, but it will stop digging through terrain to reach them.

Summary

Immortal Snail adds one unstoppable snail that follows players forever.

You cannot kill it.
You cannot fight it.
You can only stay ahead of it.
