This mod adds two new enchantments, Grapple and Aer Hook. These enchants can be added to fishing rods, even modded fishing rods.

Grapple

  • Allows your fishing rod to be used as a grappling hook. Cast the rod, land the hook on a solid block, and then uncast the rod to be pulled or 'grappled' to the hook location.
  • You will not be grappled if the hook is in a liquid, so you can still fish with your newly enchanted rod.
  • Each level (Grapple I, Grapple II, Grapple III) determines the grapple cooldown and strength, pulling you farther and higher.

Aer Hook

  • Allows grappling without being hooked onto a solid block.
  • Does nothing without the Grapple enchant.

Both enchantments have a roughly 30% chance of spawning in Buried Treasure Chests and Ocean Ruins Chests. And there's a 100% chance for either the Grapple enchant or the Aer Hook enchant to appear in a Woodland Mansion Chest.

The enchantments are completely data-driven (as of version 1.0.2+). This means you can change the cooldowns and pull strength when grappling, simply by making a datapack and overwriting the file found at data/grapple/enchantment/grapple.json.

Golden Cookie

  • Available on versions 1.0.2+.
  • Eating a Golden Cookie gives speed for 4 seconds and adrenaline for 8 seconds. Adrenaline is a new status effect that prevents fall damage and grappling cooldowns. This can be configured using the gamerules adrenalinePreventsFallDamage and adrenalinePreventsCooldown.
