Description
Great Storage
A complete storage network for NeoForge 1.21.1: store items, fluids, chemicals and Source on disks, reach them from anywhere, and automate crafting, all powered by a new ore called Resonite.
Inspired by Applied Energistics 2 and Refined Storage, Great Storage keeps the familiar controller, cables and disks setup and adds its own progression, multiblocks and integrations.
🔌 The Network
- Controller: powers the network with FE from any source. Energy capacity and transfer can be upgraded, and a Stats tab shows a live energy graph, storage usage per resource type and a count of everything connected.
- Cables: connect every network block, change colour when the network is active, and accept attachable parts on each of their six faces.
- Cable Facades: disguise any cable as any block. The Facade Cutter removes a facade or cycles its orientation.
- Relay: a redstone-controlled switch that cuts or restores a branch of your network.
- Security Manager: owner system plus per-player Security Cards with 8 permissions (read, write, items, fluids, chemicals, Source, blocks, security).
💾 Storage
- Universal Drive: 8 bays that accept any disk type. Disks slide into the bays, their label shows their type, and a LED shows how full each disk is.
- Item Disks: 1K, 4K, 16K and 64K.
- Fluid Disks: 64B, 256B, 1024B and 4096B.
- Chemical Disks (Mekanism) and Source Disks (Ars Nouveau).
- Housing + Part crafting: every disk is a reusable Storage Housing plus a Storage Part. Upgrade a disk in the Network Infuser and keep its contents.
- External Storage Part and Inventory Connector: expose chests and other mods' inventories to the network.
- Storage Monitor: displays the amount of one item right on its face.
🖥️ Access
- Storage, Crafting, Fluid and Chemical Terminals, as full blocks or as compact cable parts.
- Search (right-click the field to clear it), sorting by name or count, and a resizable grid that grows with your screen.
- Crafting Terminal with JEI / EMI recipe transfer and Polymorph support for conflicting recipes.
📡 Wireless
- Network Transmitter / Receiver: link two distant parts of a network with a Linking Card.
- Universal Wireless Terminal: one item with tabs for Items, Crafting, Fluids, Chemicals, Source and Stats. It opens with a keybind and can be worn in a Curios slot.
- Range Upgrade, Infinite Range Card and Dimension Card: access your network from anywhere, even across dimensions.
⚙️ Automation
- Importer / Exporter parts with filters and upgrades: Speed, Stack, Bulk Export, Capacity, Transfer Rate and Keep In Stock (the exporter maintains a target quantity in the adjacent inventory).
🛠️ Autocrafting
- Pattern Encoder with four modes: crafting table, stonecutter, smithing and machine processing. Patterns are tag-aware.
- Pattern Providers (standard, Advanced and Elite) push ingredients into adjacent machines and pull the results back.
- Directional autocrafting: the Advanced Pattern Encoder assigns each input to a specific face of the machine. Use these patterns in Advanced, Enhanced and Elite Provider parts (3, 6 and 9 patterns).
- Crafting CPUs (Basic, Advanced and Elite) run 1, 2 or 4 jobs in parallel and resolve sub-crafts recursively. Speed Upgrades make them faster.
- Craft preview before launching a job (available, to craft, missing) and math in quantity fields (
64*3). - Crafting Monitor to follow and cancel running jobs.
- Crafting Requester: keeps chosen items stocked by crafting them automatically.
💎 Resonite Progression
- Resonite Ore and Deepslate Resonite Ore generate in the world. Smelt, blast or process them into ingots.
- Crystal Growth Basin: grows Igneous, Glacial and Resonant crystals without power, so you can bootstrap before your first network.
- Network Infuser: turns crystals into Energy, Storage and Network Cores, the heart of the network's recipes.
- Resonance Forge: a 3×3×3 multiblock for high-tier crafts.
- Resonite Synthesizer: a renewable Resonite source for the late game.
- Resonite tools and armor.
🧩 Mod Compatibility
All integrations are optional; the mod runs fine on its own.
| Mod | Integration |
|---|---|
| JEI / EMI | Recipe categories for the Basin, Infuser and Forge; recipe transfer into crafting grids; drag-and-drop filters |
| Jade | Tooltips for cable parts and machine progress |
| Curios | Wireless terminal slot |
| Mekanism | Chemical storage, terminal and import/export; chemical autocrafting; a full 5× Resonite ore-processing chain |
| Ars Nouveau | Source storage (disks, Network Source Jar, Source Converter); Source can back up the network's FE |
| Create | Resonite crushing and washing chain; Schematic Interface to feed a Schematicannon from your network |
| Polymorph | Recipe conflict selection in crafting terminals |
📋 Requirements
