Description
This mod adds a few simple Terraria-like guns, several ammo types to go with them, and a few enchantments. It is meant as a simple vanilla+ish mod and a foundation for other (upcoming) mods to use its systems, and not as a big, fully fledged content mod. It also does not add roses of any kind.
Guns fire instantly with a short cooldown, and their projectiles are fast, not affected by gravity, and ignore invulnerability frames. However, they deal much less damage than bows, unless you invest in more expensive guns and ammo.
The mod currently adds the following:
6 guns
- Iron Gun, basic gun for early game usage
- Gold Gun, less durable but more easily enchantable
- Blaze Gun, higher damage and turns your Iron Bullets into Blaze ones for free!
- Diamond Shotgun, fires a spread of bullet for short range burst damage
- Diamond Sniper, fires accurate, high damage bullets that deal bonus damage if they hit above eye level
- Diamond Gatling, fires a stream of bullets for continuous damage
7 bullets
- Flint Bullets, low damage early game bullets
- Iron Bullets, higher damage for a higher cost
- Blaze Bullets, even higher damage and sets your enemies ablaze
- Explosive Bullets, for damage in an area even if you miss your target
- Amethyst Bullets, that can pierce through enemies
- Prismarine Bullets, which are not slowed down/stopped by water
- Chorus Fruit Bullets, randomly teleport your target away like they ate a Chorus Fruit
- You can store them in the Bullet Bag, and your guns can directly fire what's inside of it!
- (1.19.2 and below only) Maws of Gluttony, a special item that uses your hunger for infinite bullets
- (if Hanami is installed, 1.16.1 only) Cherrounds, low damage petal bullets with high knockback
5 enchantments
- Impact, increases damage
- Bullseye, increases accuracy
- Sleight of Hand, increases rate of fire
- Preserving, gives a chance to not consume ammo
- Deadeye, increase crit damage multiplier on snipers
You can get more content through addons, like my biggest one By Powder and Steel that adds mobs and assorted guns.
Video spotlights
By Mischief of Mice (older version):
By Bloodyneck (1:55-3:02), older version but still presents it nicely:
Tip: if you have a mod like EMI or JEI, you can easily search for all bullets/guns from your addons by searching from tags gunswithoutroses:bullet, gunswithoutroses:gun, and for a finer search gunswithoutroses:gun/pistol (or /shotgun, /sniper, /gatling). (The bullet tag is what can be put inside the Bullet Bag, but the gun ones have no gameplay function and are solely for this.)
