Hammer Excavator adds four new tools designed to make large-scale mining and excavation less tedious, while staying balanced for survival gameplay and without needing any dependencies.

Tools

Diamond Hammer

  • Breaks a 3x3 area of stone-type blocks.
  • Uses Smithing Table For Upgrade

Netherite Hammer

  • Breaks a 5x5 area of stone-type blocks.

Diamond Excavator

  • Breaks a 3x3 area of dirt, sand, gravel, and other soil type blocks.
  • Uses Smithing Table For Upgrade 

Netherite Excavator

  • Breaks a 5x5 area of dirt, sand, gravel, and other excavation blocks.

Ore Mining & Enchantments

Hammers are intentionally designed as excavation tools rather than ore-harvesting tools.

  • Hammers mine stone and similar blocks to quickly expose ore veins.
  • Ores should be mined with a normal pickaxe to fully benefit from Fortune, Silk Touch, and vanilla ore mechanics.
  • Silk Touch and Fortune behave normally on the directly mined block if Silk Touch or Fortune is applied to the Hammer or Excavator, but are not currently applied to every additional block affected by area mining.

This design keeps mining balanced while preventing issues with large-scale Fortune and Silk Touch harvesting
