About

Description

Gain a tactical advantage in combat! SpotMod introduces a clean and effective spotting system to track your enemies and a highly customizable damage indicator to instantly pinpoint threats. Perfect for both hardened single-player survival and team-based PvP!

This mod is built for Minecraft Forge and is not compatible with Fabric.

Features

  • 🎯 Tactical Spotting System: Mark your targets with the press of a key!

  • 💥 Dual-Mode Damage Indicators: Choose between an immersive 3D in-world indicator or a sleek 2D HUD indicator.

  • 🔧 Highly Configurable: Almost every feature can be tweaked to your liking through an in-depth config file.

  • multiplayer experience!

Spot Your Enemies

Ever lose sight of a dangerous creeper in a dark cave or a skilled opponent in a hectic battle? With SpotMod, you can "spot" an enemy by aiming at them and pressing a dedicated key.

  • Glow and Behold: Spotted enemies will glow for several seconds, making them visible even through walls and other obstacles.

  • Persistent Tracking: This effect is persistent for its duration, ensuring you can track your target without interruption.

  • Team Coordination: Call out key targets to your friends and coordinate your attacks with ease!

Know Where You're Hit From

Stop spinning around in confusion when you get shot by a skeleton from the shadows! The built-in Damage Indicator instantly shows you the direction of incoming attacks, allowing you to react immediately.

  • 3D Damage Indicator: A 3D arrow will appear in your world, pointing directly at the source of the damage. Its position and distance are fully customizable.

  • 2D Damage Indicator: A clean indicator will appear on your screen's HUD, pointing towards the attacker. Perfect for quickly reacting without cluttering your view.

  • Choose Your Style: Enable 3D, 2D, or turn them off completely in the config file to match your playstyle.

Advanced Configuration

We believe you should play your way. That's why SpotMod offers an extensive configuration file where you can fine-tune everything.

  • Spotting: Adjust the spot range, Field of View (FOV) angle, and duration.

  • Damage Indicators: Change the duration, size, color, and distance for both 2D and 3D modes.

  • Keybinds: Set your spot key to whatever you like through the standard Minecraft controls menu.

How to Configure:
You can find the config file in your Minecraft folder: /Instances/(File with mod)/config/spotmod-client.toml

There is also a server-side config file.

You can find the config file in your Minecraft folder: /Instances/(File with mod)/saves/your_world/serverconfig/spotmod-server.toml

Starting with version 1.1, all items except for the detailed specifications of Spot can be changed using the spotmod command.

Requirements

  • Minecraft Forge: This mod requires the Forge Mod Loader to be installed.

We hope you enjoy the tactical edge SpotMod provides. Happy hunting!
