High Degree of Freedom Vehicles

Design every part. Make it on real machine tools. Build cars, trucks, aircraft, helicopters and boats.

High Degree of Freedom Vehicles is a vehicle mod in the spirit of Automation: nothing comes ready-made. You design each part yourself in a design screen, every number is yours, and the physics (from AeroCore) decides what it does. Then you make it in a workshop of real machine tools and put the vehicle together in an assembly room.

Beta. Saves are kept working between versions where possible, but the format may still change. Back up your world.

Features

• Design anything: piston engines (petrol, diesel, turbocharged) from sixteen components, turbojets, turbofans, turboprops, turboshafts, ramjets, scramjets, pulsejets, rockets; wings, propellers and rotors from their airfoils; modular car bodies, fuselages and hulls; chassis, axles, landing gear, gearboxes and transfer cases. Every design has live checks, a 3D view and a test bench (a dynamometer, a polar, a test track).
• Make it: new ores and smelting, an alloy furnace, a foundry and forging press, standard components, lengthenable multiblock lathes, mills, planers, boring mills and drill presses, nine families of machining (grinding, gears, EDM, laser, waterjet, riveting...), a CNC up to 12 axes, welding. Every part follows its own route of real steps.
• Power it: treadles, steam engines, line shafts, generators, cables, batteries, and your own engines on stands.
• Build it: car factories, hangars and shipyards you build yourself; vehicles laid out, built by a crane and welders from your parts, and rolled out.
• Fuel it: oil fields, drilling rigs, pump jacks, a distillation column, FCC, reformer, cracker, polymers.
• Drive and fly it: manual and automatic gearboxes, four-wheel drive, dials and lights; flight controls, landing gear, airports with control towers and ATC; articulated trailers.
• Make it yours: a refit shop (shape, size, aero kits, rims, tuning, lamps) and a paint booth with your own stickers.
• Hear it: every sound is synthesized from the running engine or machine.

Getting started

New players get the Vehicle Engineering Handbook: right-click it. It goes from the first ore to your first car, aircraft and boat. The advancements screen has a tab that follows it, and every item's tooltip tells its tech stage and where it is made. JEI (optional) shows every recipe and machining step.

Requirements

• Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.252 or newer
• AeroCore 0.41.x
• Optional: JEI (recipes, information pages), Create (some materials by crushing, mixing, pressing)
• Install on both the client and the server.

• 改成你的： 改裝廠與可以貼自己圖片的烤漆房。
• 聽得到： 所有聲音都依運轉中的引擎或機器即時合成。
