Description

Human Nature

Human Nature adds 6-part limb trauma, tiered consumable splints, and environmental exposure to Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge and Forge. Instead of adding screen-cluttering HUD bars, it tracks injuries per body part and lets you inspect or treat wounds from an inventory tab.

Core Mechanics

1. 6-Part Limb Trauma

  • Body Regions: Tracks damage across Head, Torso, Main Hand, Off Hand, Left Leg, and Right Leg (2 severity tiers per part, 12 total trauma levels).
  • Tier 1 (Minor): Cuts movement or attack speed, blocks sprinting, stops saturation healing, and tilts the camera on footsteps.
  • Tier 2 (Major): Cuts movement speed by 85%, locks jumping or off-hand slots, lowers max health on torso hits, and forces crawling when legs break.
  • Armor & Enchantment Scaling: Equipped armor and Vanilla enchantments (Feather Falling, Blast Protection, Projectile Protection) raise fracture thresholds.
  • Trauma Shock & Respawn: Severe fractures trigger a heartbeat cue, screen shake, and brief blackout. Dying resets all limb trauma and exposure states.

2. Tiered Consumable Splints

  • Channeled Treatment: Hold right-click for 2 seconds (40 ticks) to consume a charge, clear trauma levels based on tier power, and apply recovery buffs.
  • 5 Craftable Tiers:
    • Wooden Splint: 1 use; clears 1 trauma level.
    • Reinforced Splint: 4 uses; clears 2 trauma levels + Resistance I.
    • Golden Splint: 8 uses; clears 3 trauma levels + Absorption & Regeneration.
    • Diamond Splint: 16 uses; clears 6 trauma levels + Resistance II & Knockback Resistance.
    • Netherite Splint: 32 uses; clears all 12 trauma levels + Adrenaline speed boost.

3. Inventory Diagnostic Tab

  • Body Status Panel: Click the tab on the Vanilla inventory screen (or press H) to view a flat body silhouette with color-coded statuses (Healthy, Minor, Major).
  • Click-to-Treat: Click a splint directly onto an injured limb in the UI to treat it without closing your inventory.

4. Temperature, Weight & Adrenaline

  • Cold Exposure: Standing in rain without a helmet or swimming in cold biomes builds chill, triggering shivering and Vanilla freezing (TicksFrozen). Stand near campfires, active furnaces, or eat hot food to warm up.
  • Encumbrance: Inventory weight is checked every 20 ticks (1 second) using item density tags. Overburdened players move slower, sink faster in water, and take higher fall damage.
  • Adrenaline: Heavy hits grant a brief sprint burst before fatigue sets in.

Performance & Configuration

  • Config Bypass: Disabled modules in ClientConfig, CommonConfig, or ServerConfig exit tick loops immediately.
  • Compact Network Sync: Uses 6-byte packets (SyncInjuryPayload, TreatLimbPayload) for client-server updates.
  • Localization: Includes English (en_us) and Vietnamese (vi_vn).

  • Loaders: NeoForge or Forge
