Description
Hunger Food Mechanic Fix
Is a technical add-on for the CraftTweaker and TerraFirmaCraft integration, allowing you to seamlessly integrate the TFC food system into any modpack without breaking the balance.
Initially, this mod was created for a private modpack when it was discovered that TFC intercepts food parameters from other mods (e.g., Vanilla, Pam's HarvestCraft). Even when using CraftTweaker scripts, original food started working based on TFC's "ounce" system, resulting in absurd hunger and saturation values (e.g., 5 hunger units for a single piece of wheat). This mod fixes this issue, allowing you to keep the classic food balance while adding TFC's decay and nutrient mechanics.
🌟 Main Features
Vanilla Hunger Fix: Food from third-party mods restores exactly as much hunger and saturation as intended by their authors. Moreover, the mod allows you to individually configure the decay rate for each food item!
Techguns Integration: Fully fixes the "Autofeeder" module from the Techguns mod. Food is correctly consumed from the armor inventory, restoring the necessary parameters without crashes or desyncs.
Smart Audio Feedback: Integrated dynamic audio feedback for the Techguns Autofeeder, playing standard drinking sounds instead of eating sounds when consuming items with high liquid/water values.
Item Blacklist Support: Allows modpack creators to exclude specific items (modid:item) from all custom handling and tooltips using the configuration file.
Informative Tooltips: Hovering over food now displays exact values for thirst restoration and vitamins (nutrients).
Customizable Colors & Toggles: Customize tooltip text colors using standard formatting codes (&a, &b, etc.) and independently toggle manual hand-eating fixes via config.
Flexible Configuration: Visual tooltips can be disabled at any time in the TFCFoodFix.cfg configuration file.
Maximum Lightweight: The mod does not impact game performance and works purely as an under-the-hood bridge.
Requirements and Dependencies:
-TerraFirmaCraft (Tested on version 1.7.23.181.)
-CraftTweaker (Tested on version 4.1.20.715.)
⚙️ How It Works (For Modpack Creators)
You don't need to learn new formats or syntax. Just keep registering food via standard CraftTweaker scripts (using ItemRegistry.registerFood). Our mod automatically intercepts the eating event and ensures the food works correctly, regardless of whether the player eats it by hand or via an autofeeder.
🎁 Ready-to-use Integration Script
If you do not want to deal with manual integration, you can download a ready-made tfc_food_integration.zs script along with the mod file. In this script, food from the following modifications is already balanced, categorized, and registered:
Minecraft (Vanilla 1.12.2)
Pam's HarvestCraft (harvestcraft)
HBM's Nuclear Tech Mod CE(2.5.0.5.)
Tinkers' Construct (2.13.0.183.)
More Planets (2.4.1.)
Extra Planets (0.8.0.)
Galacticraft Core (4.0.6.)
Galaxy Space (2.1.4.)
BetterNetherRotN (0.2.0.3.)
Industrial Upgrade (3.3.0.47.)
Berries and Mobs (1.51)
Mimic Fish (1.2)

Note: This project has been re-published under the "Mods" category instead of "Addons" for better discoverability among Java players, as CurseForge's "Addon" section is reserved for Bedrock Edition.
