HungerTweaks 🌾

HungerTweaks is a simple QoL mod that gives you control over Minecraft's movement-based hunger and saturation drain.

Instead of being stuck with vanilla's fixed movement hunger behavior, you can configure how far you need to move before hunger is drained and how much is drained for different types of movement.

Features

  • Configure how many blocks you move before a hunger drain occurs.

  • Separate drain settings for:

    • Walking

    • Sprinting

    • Sprint-jumping

  • Customize how much saturation or hunger is removed for each movement type.

  • Saturation is drained before hunger, following Minecraft's normal behavior.

  • Easy in-game configuration through Mod Menu + YACL.

  • Lightweight and focused specifically on hunger-related QoL.

Configuration

Open the HungerTweaks configuration through:

Mod Menu → HungerTweaks → Configure

You can change the movement threshold and each movement type's drain amount directly from the in-game config screen.

HungerTweaks is designed to be simple: configure it once, then play Minecraft the way you want.

Example

Want to move around a lot without constantly losing hunger?

You could set:

  • Blocks moved before hunger drains: 100

  • Walking drain: 0.0

  • Sprinting drain: 1.0

  • Sprint-jumping drain: 1.0

Now walking won't drain hunger, while sprinting and sprint-jumping will only drain according to your custom settings.

Requirements

  • Minecraft 26.2

  • Fabric

  • Mod Menu + YACL are recommended for the in-game configuration screen.

HungerTweaks is primarily intended for singleplayer.
