Description

I Want an Outline!

Add clean, fully customizable outlines to your items. Make your sword, bow or pickaxe stand out in your hand, in your inventory and on the ground.

✨ Features

- Outlines everywhere: in your hand (first and third person), in your inventory and hotbar, and on dropped items
- Any color you want: RGB sliders, HEX code, 8 quick presets or a full color wheel
- RGB mode: an animated rainbow outline with adjustable speed
- Opacity: from fully solid to barely visible
- Thickness: from a super thin 0.1px line up to 4px
- Side thickness: give the outline real depth so it looks great from any angle
- Shape: sharp square corners or smooth rounded edges
- Item filter: outline all items, only weapons, or weapons and tools
- Toggle each place on or off: hand, inventory or ground

🎮 How to use

Press O in-game to open the menu. You can change the key in Options > Controls.
All settings are saved automatically.

⚡ Performance

Built to keep your FPS high:
- The outline shape is computed once per item and cached
- Inventory items are only redrawn when you change a setting (or every frame only while RGB mode is on)
- Lightweight geometry with no heavy post-processing

🛡️ Fair play

The outline is purely visual and client-side. It does not show items through walls and gives no gameplay advantage. Works on any server, no server install needed.

🔧 Compatibility

✅ Fabric + Fabric API required
✅ Works with flat items from other mods (swords, tools, etc.)
✅ Iris shaders: outlines don't cast weird shadows
⚠️ Items with custom 3D models (like GeckoLib weapons, tridents or shields) are not supported yet
⚠️ The "Only weapons" filter detects weapons by name (sword, axe, spear, bow, crossbow, mace, trident). Use "All" for modded weapons with unusual names
