Description

Immersive Aircraft: Modern Fighters

Adds nine modern fighter jets to Immersive Aircraft, with animated controls, retractable landing gear, afterburners and jet engine sounds.

New in 0.0.5: Six more aircraft, new models and skins, and improved cockpits and landing gear.

Aircraft

  • Eagle — based on the F-15C, with twin engines and twin tails.
  • Falcon — based on the F-16C, a compact single-engine fighter.
  • Griffin — based on the single-seat Gripen C, with a delta wing and moving canards.
  • Fulcrum — based on the MiG-29A, with twin engines and twin tails.
  • Super Hornet — based on the F/A-18E, a single-seat twin-engine fighter.
  • Tomcat — based on the F-14, with two seats and moving swept wings.
  • Lightning — based on the F-35C, without VTOL.
  • Typhoon — based on the Eurofighter Typhoon, with a delta wing and moving canards.
  • Super Flanker — based on the Su-35, with twin engines and twin tails.

Features

  • Immersive Aircraft flight controls, with different handling for each jet.
  • Detailed aircraft skins with panel lines, weathering and original camouflage.
  • Simple cockpits with clear forward views.
  • Retractable landing gear, operated with H by default.
  • Afterburners that add thrust and burn extra fuel.
  • Jet engine and afterburner sounds with separate volume settings.
  • Survival crafting using Immersive Aircraft parts.
  • Optional external fuel tanks fitted through the aircraft upgrade inventory.
  • Two weapon slots on each aircraft. The optional Homing Missiles addon supplies compatible weapon pods and ammunition.

Installation

  • Forge 1.20.1: requires Immersive Aircraft 1.5.0.
  • Fabric / NeoForge 1.21.1: requires Immersive Aircraft 1.6.0 or 1.7.0. Fabric also requires Fabric API.

Install the matching files on both client and server. Remove the old Modern Fighters JAR when updating, including test builds, and restart Minecraft.
