About

Description

Inspired by the Secret Life series, this mod takes any damage that is dealt to the player and reduces their maximum health by that amount.

This is similar to the gamerule for natural health regeneration, except not even golden apples can heal you.

It also adds two items: the Rune of Health and the Greater Rune of Health.

Both increase your maximum health by one heart, effectively regenerating you a small amount.

However, the Rune of Health's effects last until you die, while the Greater Rune of Health provides a permanent maximum health boost.

Make your survival world even harder with Injuries Retained!

Injuries Retained is a mod inspired by the Secret Life health system.

Whenever you take damage, your max health value is reduced by the magnitude of the damage. This effectively removes any hope for health regeneration, even from sources like golden apples or potions!

In order to compensate for the increased difficulty inherent in having no health regeneration, the player spawns and respawns with 3 rows of hearts.

Additionally, runes can be crafted that regenerate a single heart of health. Greater runes cost more to make, but as well as regenerating a heart, that bonus heart is added to your max health whenever you respawn, allowing you to permanently increase your maximum health.
