About
Description
JRH Bestiary fills the overworld with the monsters from a fantasy based world. There are three types of dragons with unique breath weapons. Trolls, Minotaurs, Cyclopes, Harpies, Kobolds, Thri-kreen inhabit the world. The Reaper, based on the Dungeons and Dragons and Ultima and Ultima Online series hides in the pale forest, appearing as a pale tree until it unleashes its missile attack. Two civilizations settle the world, Merfolk who build villages on the seafloor, adding depth to Underwater Adventures and Tengu who raise temples in the sky.
Requires Fabric API.
Three Dragons
The Red, Green and Blue Dragons are the top of this food chain, and none of them fights the same way. Each breathes something different in combat.
Kill one and it drops its head. Mount it on a wall, wear it, or wire it to redstone and watch the jaw open.
Villages Under the Sea
Merfolk do not drift about waiting to be found. They build sealed villages on the seafloor, hold jobs inside them, post Guards at the doors, and keep Shopkeepers who trade. Finding one is a proper discovery, and it is the sort of place worth coming back to rather than clearing out.
Temples in the Sky
Tengu raise their temples high above the ground and run them the same way: residents with work to do, Guards on watch, and trade for anyone who makes the climb. Lizardmen hold forts of their own down in the swamps.
It Will Not Wreck Your World
Nothing in this mod can break a block or start a fire. Not the Dragons, not their breath, not anything else in the roster. You can drop the whole Bestiary into a world you have spent months on and the only thing at risk is you.
Features
• Twenty-four creatures, each on its own custom model
• Three Dragons with three different breath attacks, each dropping a mountable, wearable, redstone-wired head
• Merfolk villages built and sealed on the seafloor, with jobs, Guards and Shopkeepers
• Tengu temples in the sky and Lizardman forts in the swamps, all naturally generated
• Trolls, Minotaurs, Cyclopes, Harpies, Stone Harpies, Kobolds, Thri-kreen, Gremlins, Alligators, Giant Crabs, Whales and the Reaper
• Zero griefing: no creature in this mod breaks blocks or sets fires
• This is a mod for the Vanilla Overworld.
• Spawn eggs for every creature in the creative tab
Getting Started
• Just play. Everything in the Bestiary spawns naturally in the biomes that suit it.
• Go swimming. Merfolk villages are on the seafloor and will not come to you.
• Tengu temples sit well above the tree line in higher altitudes.
• Leave the Dragons until you are ready. All three are worth a head on your wall.
