Description
JJC Combat Toggle
A lightweight add-on for JujutsuCraft that adds a keybind to turn the mod's melee combat on/off per player — like Epic Fight's combat toggle.
When combat is OFF, your left-click melee (fist and all weapons) reverts to vanilla behavior: JujutsuCraft stops recalculating/scaling your hit damage and its strength buffs. Cursed techniques, skills and domains are untouched — only hand-to-hand/weapon combat is affected.
Why you'd want this
JujutsuCraft overrides the vanilla left-click and recomputes melee damage on hit (based on the weapon's power, your level and cursed energy). That conflicts with any mod or mechanic that needs a normal left-click on a mob.
Concrete example — Laendli Transport: the Tank Chariot Armor needs you to left-click a tamed mob to equip it, but with JJC's combat active the mob dies in one hit / the effect never applies. Toggle combat off, equip it, toggle back on. This fixes that whole class of interactions, and it works across every JujutsuCraft add-on (the combat lives in the shared base mod).
Epic Fight compatibility
If you run Epic Fight alongside JujutsuCraft, you've probably hit two problems: weapon attacks use JujutsuCraft's damage style instead of Epic Fight's, and the weapon-innate skill gauge only fills on parry — it stops charging on attack.
Both come from the same root: JujutsuCraft intercepts (and cancels) the attack event, so Epic Fight's own combat and its native charge-on-attack never run. Toggle combat OFF and JujutsuCraft steps out of the way — Epic Fight handles weapon combat cleanly again, and its weapon-skill gauge charges on attack the way it's supposed to.
Handy workflow: toggle off to charge the gauge (and fight with Epic Fight's damage), then toggle on whenever you want JujutsuCraft's combat back. Everything else in JujutsuCraft — cursed energy, techniques, and the shared attack / knockback / barrage skills — keeps working the whole time.
Features
Per-player toggle — each player controls their own combat state.
Keybind: default V (rebindable in Options → Controls).
On-screen indicator when combat is disabled, plus an action-bar message on toggle.
Persistent — your state survives relog, death and dimension changes.
Server-authoritative and fully multiplayer-safe.
Zero config, zero content — no new items, blocks or recipes; it only changes how melee is handled while toggled off.
Multiplayer
Works out of the box. The toggle is per-player and resolved on the server, so one player can run vanilla melee while another keeps full JJC combat at the same time. Install on both the server and all clients (same as JujutsuCraft itself).
Notes
Scope is melee only — techniques, technique projectiles, domains and incoming damage are not changed.
