Kenace’s Stash Finder

Ever forgotten which chest holds the item you need? Kenace’s Stash Finder helps you search storage you’ve opened before, find nearby containers with matching items, and organize container contents.

Features

  • Search saved storage by item name, item ID, custom name, or enchantment.

  • Find custom player heads as separate searchable items, including their saved appearances.

  • Highlight matching containers near you. Adjust the search distance from 10 to 150 blocks, and customize highlight duration, color, and outline.

  • Search inside open containers and highlight items matching your query.

  • Sort container contents by item name, quantity, item ID, item type, or enchantment. Matching partial stacks are combined up to their stack limit before sorting.

  • Configure sorting shortcuts and reload your saved index in game.

Supported containers include chests, barrels, shulker boxes, hoppers, dispensers, droppers, furnaces, and brewing stands.

Getting started

  • Press J to search saved storage. Choose a result to highlight nearby containers that contain it.

  • Press F6 to reload the saved index.

  • Press K to open settings, or use the gear button in the search screen. The settings key can be changed in Controls.

  • Open a supported container and use its search and sort buttons.

The mod records storage after you open it. Contents refresh when you open the container again; changes made while it is closed are not detected immediately. Search is client-side, so the server does not need the mod.

Requirements

Install the build that matches your Minecraft version:

  • Minecraft 26.1.2: Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer, Fabric API 0.155.3+26.1.2, and Java 25 or newer.

  • Minecraft 26.2: Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer, Fabric API 0.152.2+26.2, and Java 25 or newer.

  • Minecraft 26.3: Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer, Fabric API 0.163.0+26.3, and Java 25 or newer.

Mod Menu is optional. If installed, it adds a shortcut to the settings screen. The settings keybind and in-game gear button work without it.
