Kenny - A horror curse that follows your world!

Kenny adds a slow-burn horror survival experience to Minecraft. A tall, silent stalker begins watching your world from Day 1, filling the air with footsteps, whispers, TNT, lightning, and strange anomalies.

At first, Kenny only watches. He appears, stares, whispers, and vanishes when noticed. Then the warnings become a countdown. When your time runs out, the hunt begins.

The only true way to end Kenny forever is to enter The End and kill the Ender Dragon.

    • Jump Attack: Kenny leaps toward players on towers or at mid-range.
    • Player Throw: After 3 melee hits, Kenny launches the player into the air.
    • Mob Throw: Kenny grabs a nearby mob and hurls it at the player as a projectile.
    • Fireball: Kenny fires small fireballs at players above or at range.
    • TNT Throw: Kenny lobs primed TNT at players in close combat or in the open.
    • Chase Darkness: Applies Darkness and heartbeat panic sounds periodically while chasing.
    • Stare Effects: Staring at Kenny during a chase triggers Darkness pulses and Nausea.
    • Escape Taunts: Kenny broadcasts dimension-specific taunts when a player escapes.
    • Dimension Taunts: Kenny taunts players who cross into The Nether or The End.
  • Hostile Mob Alliance

    • Nearby monsters that target Kenny will cancel their attack and stop.
    • Protects Kenny from mob interference during a hunt.
  • Kill-based escalation

    • Kenny becomes faster and stronger after each defeat.
    • Health and damage scale with kill count and current day.
    • Multiplayer scaling: Kenny's health and damage increase per additional valid player.
  • Progressive Kenny rewards

    • Defeating Kenny drops a Kenny Totem.
    • Armor rewards rotate through armor pieces (diamond → netherite as kills increase).
    • High kill counts add stronger enchantments.
    • First kill rewards an enchanted diamond sword.
    • Later kills reward strong potions.
    • Every kill rewards enchanted golden apples.

    • A specially named Totem of Undying with custom NBT data.

    • Grants Speed as long as held.

    • Mob Fear: Pushes nearby mobs away while held (not in The End).
    • Applies Blindness as a cursed side effect.
    • All effect timings, amplifiers, and radius are configurable.
  • The End final act

    • Kenny has separate, amplified End stats (health ×10, damage ×10, speed ×2 by default).
    • Kenny spawns quickly when players enter The End.
    • Kenny cannot be damaged by the Ender Dragon.
    • Kenny can punish tower abuse: vertical reach, block breaking, and fireball spam.
    • Kenny keeps returning while the Ender Dragon is alive.
    • TNT anomalies also occur in The End, safely avoiding the dragon.

    • Killing the Ender Dragon permanently defeats Kenny for that world.
    • Kenny disappears forever.

  • Kenny appears near players and stares silently.

  • WATCH events increase in frequency as the hunt day approaches.
  • Sleep encounters can occur.

Hunt phase

When the warning phase ends, Kenny begins hunting.

During this phase:

  • Kenny actively chases valid players.
  • Kenny uses the full arsenal: jump attacks, player throws, mob throws, fireballs, and TNT.
  • Kenny scales with kill count and current day.
  • Kenny can recover from stuck navigation.
  • Kenny can pursue underwater.
  • Kenny can break blocks obstructing his path.
  • Kenny can retarget in multiplayer.
  • Kenny can respawn after vanishing or being defeated.

The End

The End is the final act.

Kenny becomes extremely dangerous inside The End: amplified health, damage, and speed. He will keep returning as long as the Ender Dragon is alive. Kill the Ender Dragon to seal Kenny permanently.

  1. Install the mod on both client and server.
  2. Install the required dependencies:

🌐 Multiplayer

Kenny supports multiplayer, LAN, and dedicated servers.

The mod is required on both client and server because it includes server-side AI, world progression, sounds, particles, custom entity rendering, model, and animation logic.

Kenny's health and damage scale with the number of active players in the world. Presets (solo, group, server) are available to balance the experience.
