Description

Kingdoms of Ash

A medieval survival RPG designed by Demir. Begin at Ash Harbor, follow its tutorial, and discover Ironhold and Frostspire. Defeat each city's boss pair, collect their relics, and offer them at its ancient seal.

Features

  • Three generated cities with NPC dialogue and quests.
  • A journal, quest progress, navigation compass, XP, mana, and gold.
  • Ember, Frost, and Heal spells with cooldowns.
  • Optional city defense events.
  • Shulker boxes and elytra earned through boss and seal progression.

Installation

Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.250, and Java 21. Install the mod on both client and server when playing together.

For the full boss and seal campaign, install compatible Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge versions of Mowzie's Mobs and Ice and Fire Community Edition, plus their dependencies. They supply the required bosses and relics. Their files are not bundled.

Tough As Nails is optional and supplies thirst and temperature. All companion mods belong to their respective creators.

Controls

  • K: journal and quests
  • R / G / V: Ember / Frost / Heal
  • F8: key guide
  • H: toggle HUD

Rebind keys in Minecraft's Controls menu. Use /ash seals to check your progress.

Alpha notes

Nether and End travel are disabled. Shulker boxes and elytra are progression rewards. Start with a new world for the intended experience and back up existing worlds.

The interface is in English. English (US) is selected once on first load; later language changes remain available. Automatic cutscenes are disabled. This release passed 41 automated unit tests, but its English interface and gameplay have not been verified in a live play session. Performance and visual issues may remain.

AI disclosure and credits

Designed by Demir with extensive AI assistance. The custom implementation contains substantial AI-generated code, text, and visual assets. The dragon-and-crown logo is AI-generated branding, not an in-game screenshot or a depiction of an included creature model. NPC dialogue is scripted; there is no live AI service during gameplay.
