Koatus is a small survival-focused Fabric mod that adds a mysterious herb and a powerful consumable with a dangerous side effect.

🌱 Koatus Herb

Koatus Herb naturally generates in the Overworld and can be collected from the ground.

The herb can also slowly spread to nearby valid blocks over time, allowing it to naturally multiply without requiring water.

🚬 Koatus Pipe

Combine:

• 🌿 1× Koatus Herb
• 📄 1× Paper

to craft 4× Koatus Pipes.

When consumed, a Koatus Pipe gives you the Reckless effect for 1 minute.

⚡ Reckless

Reckless is a stacking effect that becomes stronger every time you consume another Koatus Pipe while it is active.

Each level provides:

• 🏃 Speed II
• 🛡️ Resistance II
• 🌀 Increasingly intense Nausea
• 💀 Reduced duration of harmful effects

The higher your Reckless level gets, the more distorted and difficult your vision becomes.

Reckless I → Nausea I
Reckless II → Nausea II
Reckless III → Nausea III
…and so on.

The harmful-effect reduction starts at 30% and increases by 3% per Reckless level, up to a maximum of 95%.

⚠️ The power comes with a price. The higher you push Reckless, the harder it becomes to see.

Once Reckless expires, your progression resets.
