Description
Legacy Melodies
Legacy Melodies restores Minecraft's older ambient music behavior while keeping the soundtrack limited to C418-made songs.
Modern Minecraft has added many new ambient music pools and biome-specific tracks. This mod rolls the background music logic back toward the classic feel: survival uses the original C418 survival pool, creative uses the C418 creative pool, Nether ambience uses the classic C418 Nether tracks, and newer non-C418 ambient music is filtered out.
Features
- Restores older overworld music selection logic
- Keeps ambient/background music to C418 tracks only
- Separates survival and creative music correctly
- Prevents survival from playing creative-only tracks like **Aria Math**
- Keeps classic Nether ambience
- Leaves music discs untouched, including newer discs
- Client-side only
Compatibility
Available builds:
- 1.21.x
- 26.x
Notes
This mod only affects ambient/background music selected by Minecraft’s music manager. It does not block jukeboxes, music discs, or other direct gameplay sounds.
This was an AI assisted project.
