Lifespan makes dropped items tell you exactly how much time they have left.

For the best experience, consider installing it server-side too. Balm mod required.

Whenever an item is dropped into the world, Lifespan displays a clean floating countdown above it showing the remaining time before it despawns.

No more guessing whether you still have time to recover your gear after dropping it. A quick look tells you whether that diamond sword has 4 minutes left or only a few seconds.

The display stays attached to the item in the world and works naturally with Minecraft's existing item despawn system. Lifespan doesn't change how items behave, it simply makes an otherwise hidden mechanic visible.
