Description

LITTLE HABITS

The world quietly learns how you play.

Little Habits is a vanilla-friendly Fabric mod that turns the small things you repeatedly do into useful habits.

There are no skill trees, no XP menus, and no abilities to manually unlock. Just play Minecraft normally. Over time, the world begins to remember your routines and subtly adapts to them.

FAMILIAR DOOR

Use the same door regularly and it eventually becomes familiar with you.

Once learned, it automatically opens when you approach and closes after you leave.

FAMILIAR GATE

Frequently use the same fence gate and it will learn your routine too.

Once familiar, it automatically opens and closes for you.

FAMILIAR BED

Sleep in the same bed enough times and its location becomes deeply familiar.

If the bed is later destroyed and you haven't set another respawn point, Little Habits remembers where it used to be and gives you one final respawn there.

After that backup respawn is used, the habit is forgotten and must be learned again.

FAMILIAR HARVEST

Repeatedly harvest fully-grown crops and eventually the process becomes second nature.

Once learned, mature crops are automatically replanted after harvesting while consuming the appropriate seed or crop from your inventory.

Supported crops:

• Wheat
• Carrots
• Potatoes
• Beetroot

Each crop is learned separately.

FAMILIAR CHEST

A chest learns what you regularly store inside it.

After enough meaningful storage sessions, sneak + right-click the familiar chest to automatically deposit item types that you have previously stored there.

It does not simply dump your entire inventory.

FAMILIAR CAMPFIRE

Regularly cook food on the same campfire and you will learn how to keep it supplied.

Once familiar, right-click it with an empty hand and it automatically takes suitable raw food from your inventory and fills available cooking slots.

FAMILIAR ANIMAL

Repeatedly care for the same animal and it begins to recognize you.

Once a bond has formed, sneak + right-click the animal with an empty hand to toggle between Following and Staying.

The relationship belongs to that individual animal.

FAMILIAR PORTAL

Travel through the same Nether portal enough times and crossing between dimensions becomes second nature.

Once familiar, the portal becomes almost instant to use.

Little Habits can also remove the short loading screen when travelling through a familiar portal for a smoother transition.

HABITS FEEL NATURAL

Little Habits is designed so that you don't need to grind visible progress bars.

Habits form quietly while you play.

When a new habit is learned, you may see something like:

✦ LITTLE HABIT FORMED — Familiar Door
Your hand already knows this handle.

Each habit has multiple possible messages, so learning them does not always feel identical.

CONFIGURABLE

Little Habits creates a configuration file that allows you to:

• Enable or disable individual habits
• Change how many uses are required
• Change crop harvest requirements
• Enable or disable Familiar Portal loading-screen skipping

👥 MULTIPLAYER

Habits are tracked separately for each player.

A door, chest, animal, campfire or portal familiar to one player does not automatically become familiar to everyone else.
