# Local Chat

A simple and lightweight mod that makes chat local by default!

## Features

✅ **Local Chat by Default** - No prefix needed, just type and chat with nearby players
✅ **Global Chat with /g** - Use /g to send messages to everyone on the server  
✅ **Toggle Mode** - Press R to switch between local/global modes
✅ **Custom Range** - Press O to set your chat distance (default: 100 blocks)

## How It Works

- **Normal chat** → Local (nearby players only)
- **/g message** → Global (entire server)
- **Press R** → Toggle default mode

## Commands

- `/g <message>` - Send global message

## Config

- `R` - Toggle local/global mode
- `O` - Set chat range

## For Server Admins

Works on both client and server. Server-side config available to set default range.
