Description
🔒 Lockdown
Lockdown is a lightweight, strictly server-side utility mod for NeoForge 1.21.1 designed to give server owners and modpack creators absolute authority over items, progression, and status effects.
Whether you're building an RPG modpack, running a server with progression stages, or patching overpowered potion mechanics, Lockdown offers modular, zero-bloat control right out of the box.
⚡ Key Features at a Glance
- 🖥️ 100% Server-Side: Clients do not need to install the mod to join!
- 📈 Scoreboard Progression: Gate items or entire mods behind custom scoreboard levels.
- 🚫 Item Bans & Confiscation: Destroy blacklisted items instantly or gently prevent players from equipping/using them.
- 🧪 Status Effect Banning & Capping: Completely disallow unwanted effects or cap their amplifier (e.g., allow Strength I, but nerf Strength II).
- 🎯 Source Whitelisting (Bypass): Forbid an effect generally, but permit it if applied by specific potions or items.
- 🎒 Backpack Detection: Optional deep inspection for Sophisticated Backpacks.
📦 Module 1: ItemLocker
Take charge of how items are acquired and used:
- Prohibited Items: Destroys banned items as soon as they hit a player's inventory. Violators are automatically logged into
lockdownban.json. - Blocked Items: Possession prevention — players cannot even pick up, hold, or take the item into their inventory, but unlike prohibited items, it is not destroyed.
- Scoreboard Level Gating:
- Lock individual items to a required scoreboard score.
- Lock entire mods at once (e.g., all items from
mekanismrequire Level 10), with support for item-by-item exclusions.
- NBT Locks: Restrict item instances dynamically via custom NBT tags.
🧪 Module 2: EffectLocker
Rebalance potions and status effects without breaking gameplay immersion:
- Banning: Block any effect from registering on players.
- Amplifier Capping: Limit maximum effect strength (0 to 255). No more game-breaking custom potion amplifiers.
- Item-Based Bypass: Allow restricted effects only when triggered by specific items (e.g., allow Weakness exclusively from vanilla splash potions).
- Graceful Handling: Players still drink potions and eat food naturally (animations and resource consumption work normally); only the resulting status effect registration is intercepted.
🎒 Mod Compatibility
- Sophisticated Backpacks: Lockdown includes optional built-in support. If present, prohibited items hidden inside player backpacks will still be detected and confiscated. If not present, the mod runs cleanly without errors or bloat.
