Description

# Loot Table Studio

**Loot Table Studio** is a Forge mod for Minecraft **1.20.1** that gives you a visual, in-game editor for loot tables — no JSON editing, no restarting the game.

Open the editor with **J** (rebindable in Options → Controls → Key Binds, category *Loot Table Studio*), pick a loot table and edit it right from the game.

## Features

* **Browse every loot table** — three tabs: structures/chests, mobs, and modded tables. Search by name to jump straight to the table you need.
* **Item picker with search** — add any item from the game or from your inventory ("Add Held Item"), including a filter for what you currently carry.
* **Per-entry editing** — set the minimum / maximum count, the drop weight, and optional NBT data for each entry.
* **Vanilla entry tuning** — adjust the weight of existing vanilla drops, remove them (they go to a restorable blacklist), and restore them later.
* **Save & Reload in one click** — the *Save & Reload* button writes your changes and reloads the loot tables immediately, so you can test drops without leaving the world.
* **Server-friendly** — edits are applied on the server side and stored as JSON (`config/loot_table_studio/loot_edits.json`), so singleplayer worlds and multiplayer servers behave the same.
* **English & Chinese localization** built in; the UI follows your game language.

## Requirements

| | |
|---|---|
| Minecraft | 1.20.1 |
| Mod loader | Forge 47.x |

## Notes

* Default key: **J**. Change it in Controls → Key Binds.
* Edits are stored in `config/loot_table_studio/loot_edits.json`.
* Coming from an older build (mod id `visual_loot_editor`)? Copy
`config/visual_loot_editor/loot_edits.json` to `config/loot_table_studio/` — extra pools written by older
builds into loot tables are still recognized.

MIT — free to use in modpacks, forks are welcome as long as the MIT notice is kept.
