Lootr Conversion Fix
Some Lootr loot chests stay as plain vanilla chests (no Lootr look, not per-player)
until someone right-clicks them. This tiny server-side mod fixes that.
The cause
Lootr only converts a chest when the 5×5 chunks around it are in its internal "loaded chunks" list,
which is only filled when a chunk loads already fully loaded. Chunks first loaded at the edge of
view distance, or loaded by other means (pre-generation, LOD mods...), never get in — and if the chunk
unloads before conversion, Lootr forgets the chest entirely.
The fix
Every 2 seconds, around each player (4 chunks), the mod re-registers the loaded chunks with Lootr
and re-submits unconverted loot containers. Lootr then does the conversion itself, with all its
usual checks (blacklists, dimensions, world border).
Notes
- Server-side only, no config needed
- Very low cost
- Built for Lootr 1.11.x on NeoForge 1.21.1 — if Lootr's internals change, the fix disables itself
safely (message in the log)
- Unofficial, not affiliated with the Lootr team
