Overview

Lord of the Rings: Qualities of Middle-Earth expands on the Lord of the Rings Mod by adding more uses for existing items and filling in areas that previously felt underdeveloped. For example, copper and silver now have their own armor sets, tools, and additional uses, Mordor features its own Mithril-equivalent called Black Iron, and there are also new equipment sets for both Dwarves and Elves.

QOME also introduces new systems to the LOTR mod, such as Ring Forging, a difficult and expensive process that can be very rewarding when completed.

This version is a backport to Minecraft 1.7.10, maintained and developed by Sown, with the goal of preserving the original design while making it fully functional in older modpacks.

The mod also includes a magic language system. Currently, Elven and Morgul magic tomes are available, with Dwarven tomes planned for future updates.

To use the language system, you must first learn the roots of a specific language. For example, to use the spell Ceura-nin, you need to find the Elven Language Tome and learn the Ceura-nin phrase. To learn a spell or language, right click the tome in the air. To use a spell, type the words in chat with a "/" prefix. To upgrade a spell, you must already have learned its tier 1 version.
