About
Description
LOTRGUILib
is a utility library for Minecraft 1.7.10 submods created for Mevans' Lord of the Rings Mod.
It provides shared GUI components, dynamic UI layout systems, and rendering helpers to fix common interface bugs and streamline building custom menus, map screens, and player overlays.
Features
- Layout & Container System: Base panels, scroll boxes, and auto-aligning grids styled for Middle-earth themes.
- Widget Library: Pre-built buttons, toggles, inputs, sliders, dropdowns, and drag-and-drop elements that plug directly into the layout engine.
- Named Palettes: Centralized color schemes you can reference by key across all components, with automatic fallbacks for missing values.
- Parchment Rendering: Built-in Tessellator wrapper that handles textured parchment rendering without leaking OpenGL state or breaking alpha channels.
- Obfuscation-Safe Texture Binding: Uses reflection fallbacks (supporting MCP and SRG names) to keep banner rendering working across different modpack environments.
- Interactive Map Layers: Clickable map primitives and HUD overlays for territory borders, waypoints, and faction views that won't fight other mods for render passes.
- Boilerplate-Free HUD Anchoring: Pin HUD elements to screen edges/corners without writing custom render tick handlers—handles scaling and window resizing out of the box.
- Branching Dialog Trees: Modular NPC conversation GUI supporting speaker portraits, text parsing, and dynamic response chains.
- Custom Crafting Tables: Base GUI and container classes with recipe handling and ID pooling pre-wired so addons don't collide.
- And more…
