Description

Overview

Lovely Robot: Legacy is the current-generation companion mod. Craft a robot, give her a name, bring her along — and watch what happens when you actually spend time together.

Several robot types. Sixteen colours each. A levelling system, combat specialisations, and a protection mechanic that scales with the bond you've built. Legacy is the version most players know, now rebuilt from the ground up on a clean multi-loader foundation.

It's vanilla-friendly, but it rewards players who go deep.

Robot Types

Each type has a distinct personality, stat profile, and combat role.

Robot Role Highlight
Vanilla All-rounder Balanced starter companion
Bunny Speed Fastest movement, great for exploration
Bunny2 Speed / Combat Bunny with more bite
Bunny3 Speed / Pastel Bunny in a softer colour palette
Honey Support Resource management and automation
Dragon Heavy Combat Highest damage, intimidation aura
Neko Agile Combat High attack speed, pounce, night vision
Kitsune Support / Buff Fox blessings, tail progression up to 9 tails

All types are available in 16 dye colours.

Features

  • Levelling system — robots gain XP in the field and level up to type-specific caps (80–150)
  • Named robots level faster — a small XP bonus once you give your robot a name
  • Protection system — damage type resistance scales with level and integrates with enchantments
  • Combat specialisations — each robot type has unique abilities and combat patterns
  • Smart Core Retrieval — if your robot dies nearby, her core flies back to your inventory automatically; glowing outline if she's out of range
  • Ctrl+Shift+Empty Hand pickup — convert your robot back to a spawn item without losing any data
  • Health persistence — robot health is preserved across world reloads
  • Sitting animations — dynamic hitbox, random delay transitions, vehicle sitting support (boats, minecarts, horses)
  • Core glow — colour-coded team scoreboard integration, 16 colours
  • Base Defense Scan — four patrol patterns (FULL_SCAN, DOUBLE_SWEEP, QUADRANT_CHECK, RANDOM_POINTS)
  • Commands/llovely with list, summon, teleport, stats, config

Original mod: Lovely Robot by lilacx02 Textures, models, and art assets originate from lilacx02's original work.

Rebuilt and extended by: MSymbios / Heria Zone

How This Differs from the Original

The original Lovely Robot by lilacx02 was a 1.12.2 Forge mod with four robot types and basic companion behaviour. Lovely Robot: Legacy is a full rebuild for modern Minecraft that adds:

  • Four additional robot types (Dragon, Neko, Kitsune, Bunny3)
  • 16-colour dye palette across all types
  • Levelling system with type-specific caps
  • Protection system with damage type resistance and enchantment integration
  • Smart Core Retrieval on death
  • Base defense scan with four patrol patterns
  • Multi-loader support (Fabric, Forge, NeoForge)
  • Cross-version save migration from 1.12.2 originals

The robots look like the originals because that was the intent — to continue and expand lilacx02's work. The underlying code and systems are a complete rebuild.

How This Differs from the Original

The original Lovely Robot by lilacx02 was a 1.12.2 Forge mod with four robot types and basic companion behaviour. Lovely Robot: Legacy is a full rebuild for modern Minecraft that adds:

  • Three additional robot types (Dragon, Neko, Kitsune)
  • 16-colour dye palette across all types
  • Levelling system with type-specific caps
  • Protection system with damage type resistance and enchantment integration
  • Smart Core Retrieval on death
  • Base defense scan with four patrol patterns
  • Multi-loader support (Fabric, Forge, NeoForge)
  • Cross-version save migration from 1.12.2 originals

The robots look like the originals because that was the intent — to continue and expand lilacx02's work. The code that makes them behave is new.
