Description

Overview

Lovely Robot: Tribute is a faithful recreation of lilacx02's original companion mod — the one that started it all.

Four robots. Their original colours. Their original feel. Just modernised to run on current Minecraft versions, with a clean conversion path from the 1.12.2 original so no one has to leave their old saves behind.

This version exists for the players who have been here since the beginning. And for making sure that what lilacx02 built is preserved properly.

Robot Types

The original four, as they were meant to be:

Robot Description
Vanilla The original all-purpose companion
Honey The original support robot
Bunny The original speed companion
Bunny2 Bunny's heavier variant

No 16-colour palette. No additional robot types. The original aesthetics, intact.

Features

  • Original robot types with original colour schemes
  • Modernised to run on current Minecraft versions
  • Clean save conversion from the original 1.12.2 mod
  • Minimal dependencies, broad version support (1.7.10 → current, in progress)
  • Converts between Tribute and Legacy saves

Dependencies

  • LovelyLib (required)
  • HZLib (required)

How This Differs from the Original

Lovely Robot: Tribute is a direct port of lilacx02's original 1.12.2 mod to modern Minecraft versions — it does not add new robot types, change the colour palette, or alter the core behaviour. The goal is preservation: the same four robots, the same feel, with a clean save conversion path so 1.12.2 worlds are not left behind.

What changed is only what had to change to run on modern Minecraft: the underlying engine, the registration system, and the multi-loader build infrastructure. The experience is intentionally unchanged.
