Description

Lure Lantern

Lure Lantern adds a simple but powerful survival utility block: a switchable lantern that attracts friendly mobs within a small radius.

Place it near a farm, animal pen, village corner, barn, pasture, or base entrance, turn the lure mode on, and nearby passive mobs will slowly move toward the lantern. No leads, no pushing, no awkward animal traffic jams. It is a small mod, but it solves one of the most annoying vanilla problems: moving friendly mobs around cleanly.

How it works

Right-click the Lure Lantern to toggle lure mode.

When enabled, the lantern softly pulls nearby friendly creatures toward it. It does not teleport mobs or force broken movement. It uses normal mob navigation, so the result feels natural and still respects Minecraft pathfinding.

Crafting

The Lure Lantern is crafted from a vanilla lantern, glow berries, and wheat.

It is intentionally cheap enough to be useful early, but still requires a small survival setup.

Vanilla Minecraft gives you leads, food baiting, fences, and patience.

Lure Lantern gives you a cleaner option.

It is not overpowered, not automated mob farming, and not a giant tech block. It is just a practical survival tool that makes passive mob handling less painful.

Compatibility

Lure Lantern is designed to stay lightweight and modpack-friendly.

The logic is based on friendly/pathfinding mobs and includes tag support for future overrides, so datapacks or modpacks can adjust what should be attracted or ignored.
