Description

The MC Corps Economy Mod

By Fluffinator09 and pdogmuncher

This mod was created to be used in Fluffinator09's server and modpack.

Summary

This is a simple mod that offers factions-style functionality, integrated into the Minecraft Forge platform. Because it is a Forge mod, it can easily be run in tandem with other mods, facilitating a fun and complex economy server platform.

While most economy-based servers have "factions" or something similar, the MC Corps Economy Mod incorporates corporations. Corporations, while similar to traditional factions, are entities with organizational structures that are far more consolidated than those in typical factions systems. The focus of the system is placed more heavily on corporations than individual players, and players within a corporation are expected to cooperate instead of working for individual interests. Capital (for the time being) can be held only by corporations, not players, meaning the activities of each player will be in direct benefit of their corporation.

The functionality of the MC Corps Economy Mod revolves around the "/ec" command, which is used for most of the mod's functions. A manual of the various possible commands can be brought up by typing "/ec." The primary functions of this mod and the command system are listed below:

Features

The MC Corps Economy Mod adds a number of server-specific features, centering around corporations. These include:

Create a corporation: any player can create a new corporation, and give it a custom name

Hire employees: a corporation's CEO can hire new players as employees, allowing them to gain access to the corporation

Receive income: corporations will receive a daily income based on the number of active players in the corporation. A corporation's money is tied to the corporation itself, not the players within it.

Exchange goods and services: players can sell and auction items to earn more money for their corporation, and players can spend their corporation's money to acquire the items they need. Yay, capitalism!

Rise to the top: the corporations that have earned the most money are tracked on a leaderboard.

Claim land: corporations can claim land, preventing other corporations from building on it.

Lots more coming soon!
