MechWorks
Build a mech. Arm it to the teeth. Automate everything else.
MechWorks is a Fabric mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 that puts you in the cockpit of a customizable war machine — then hands you the worker bots, power grid, and logistics to run the whole operation.

The Mech
Craft a Mech Chassis, right-click the ground, and climb in. First person puts you behind a full cockpit HUD — targeting reticle, compass, energy and hull readouts, and a lock-on computer that paints targets near your reticle.
The cockpit: energy and armor rails, compass strip, velocity and altitude, your armament bound to each mouse button — and a chicken that has made a serious mistake, locked at 15 meters.
Nine hardpoints let you build the mech your way:
| Hardpoint | Options |
|---|---|
| Arms (×2) | Drill · Quarry Drill · Blaster · Power Fist · Beam Saber · Gatling Gun · Texture Sprayer |
| Shoulder | Missile Pod · Sentry Drone |
| Legs | Jet Thrusters (+18% speed, higher jumps, V-key dash) |
| Torso | Cargo Module / Vault / Hold (27–81 slots, paged) |
| Head | Solar Helmet (trickle charge) |
| Back | Mech Wings (true flight) |
| Battery | Iron → Netherite (up to 4,000 E, half-price energy costs) |
| Plating | Iron → Netherite (up to +10 armor / +6 toughness, adds a color trim) |
The mech is a fortress: 160 HP, immune to wither and poison, no fall damage — big drops ground-pound everything around you instead. A fully plated mech shrugs off a wither while the beam saber takes thirds off its health bar.
The arsenal: homing blaster bolts when locked on, a 3-missile ripple salvo, a deployable laser sentry, a beam saber that swings like a sword and hits like a train (50 damage, 10s recharge), a gatling that trades accuracy for sheer volume, drills that chew 3×3 and 9×9 faces straight into your cargo hold — and a Texture Sprayer that weathers stonework into mossy and cracked variants for the builders.

Dye the accent paint any color. Install plating for a matching trim. Look good doing it.
MechBots
Knee-high workers that dock to a Charging Chest and just… handle it:
- Forester — plants a dense sapling grid, fells whole trees (branches included, however tall they grow), sweeps up every sapling and apple, banks the logs, and restocks its own saplings from the chest.
- X-Ray Miner — scans a configurable radius down to bedrock, tunnels to ore, hauls it home, and flies back no-clip if it gets stuck. Gives up on unreachable ore instead of sulking.
Bots are chunk loaders: your farm and mine keep running while you're a continent away — through server restarts. Sneak-click to pocket a bot, bag and all.

The Power Grid
A complete standalone energy system speaking Team Reborn Energy (plays perfectly with Tech Reborn, but needs nothing beyond Fabric API):
- Photon Arrays MK-I → MK-IV — solar generation from 1 to 64 E/t (config-tunable), with an onboard night buffer.
- Power Conduits — six-way connecting cables that just work.
- Capacitor Banks MK-I → MK-III — 200k to 3.2M E of storage.
- Charging Pad — parks and charges mechs (and tops up your gauntlet while you stand on it). Charging Chest — bot dock, deposit box, and battery in one, with a proper swinging lid.

The Access Terminal
A crafting terminal over everything adjacent to it — point it at your chest wall and get one scrollable, count-sorted view of the lot. Click to pull, shift-click to pull stacks or deposit, and a 3×3 crafting grid that restocks itself from your storage after every craft. Costs a trickle of power. Strictly adjacent: a workbench with reach, not an ME network.
One screen for the whole chest wall: count-sorted network view up top, self-restocking craft grid below, energy gauge on the right.
Servo Gauntlet
Can't bring the mech? Load any arm module into the Servo Gauntlet and run it by hand — handheld drill, quarry, blaster, fist, saber, gatling, or sprayer, powered by an internal cell you charge on a pad or any item charger. Sneak-click opens its module bay.
Getting Started
Craft the Field Manual — 12 in-game pages cover everything from your first chassis to the power grid. Balance knobs (health, energy costs, solar rates, and more) live in config/mechworks.json.
Requires: Fabric Loader + Fabric API (Minecraft 1.20.1) Optional: Tech Reborn (cables, batteries, and chargers interoperate both ways) License: MIT, feel free to add to any mod packs, no need to ask!
