Medieval Armory: Armor Classes
Become a medieval knight or ranger and take to battle! This mod adds new armor sets that are a mix between a vanilla and semi-realistic medieval style. All of these armor sets can be divided into three classes (light, medium, and heavy) that have different advantages and disadvantages over the other classes. Currently, there are armor sets for iron, diamond, and netherite.
This mod also includes an overhaul for vanilla armor, bringing it up to standard with the rest of the mod in terms of stats and appearance.
I reccomend using this mod with Hot Iron Expansion , another mod of mine. Hot Iron Expansion adds an overhauled vanilla-like smithing system that is the ideal way to experience the crafting and balancing of the armor sets in this mod. This additional mod is not required, but adds to the value of the Medieval Armory immensely.

The Armor Classes
Light Armor: Provides a bonus to ranged damage and melee attack speed, but provides the least defense. Unlike the other classes, light armor does not inhibit the movement of the player.
Medium Armor: Gives a small penalty to movement speed, but has good defense. Medium armor is a good middle ground for versatility, and includes most of the vanilla armor sets.
Heavy Armor: Has incredibly good defense and knockback resistance, which comes at the cost of a significant movement speed penalty and a small attack speed penalty. Heavy armor will turn you into a walking tank, but limits your ability to travel or flee from battle.
Armor Sets
Iron: Iron Mail Armor, Iron Quarter-Plate Armor, Iron Half-Plate Armor, Iron Plate Armor
Diamond: Diamond Weave Armor, Diamond Quarter-Plate Armor, Diamond Half-Plate Armor, Diamond Plate Armor
Netherite: Netherite Quarter-Plate Armor, Netherite Half-Plate Armor, Netherite Plate Armor
Other: Wool Gambison, Copper Scale Armor
Vanilla Overhaul
The vanilla armor sets have been made to look like they are simply produced or very old, looking similar to the Copper Scale Armor in the mod. They also come with a small speed debuff as they are now classified as Medium Armor.
Planned Features
- A gold armor set and a leather armor set
- Steel Armor sets and compatability with the Overgeared mod
- Medieval Acessories for Curios
- Unique variants of armor/curios, discovered through exploration.
- Any suggestions you may have!
