About

Meds and Herbs is a mod that adds medicine, poison and new in-game mechanics into the game. The mod provides a certain level of challenge and entertainment, especially if it's being played on a server.

Overall, it's about a semi-realistic ways of causing or curing illnesses in the player. The making of said medicine is oversimplified, yet majority of the plants in this mod have a very close resemblance of how they're used in real life. And the negatives of said plants are considered a misuse in this mod.

For now the mod has 3 guide books to help the player with their journey, but despite their presence in the mod, I still highly suggest on using JEI (Just Enough Items) for crafting recipes.

Features

You can bleed, break bones, get burns, parasites, and be poisoned while playing this mod. Of course none of these effects occur randomly, they happen on specific conditions. If the player thought of an idea to use a bucket of milk to cure these effects, it will not work. You have to make medicine to cure these negative health conditions.

Medicine

  • Extracts
  • Syringes
  • Dressings
  • Medkits
  • Splint and Plaster
  • Sewing kit

To use Extracts, have the bottle in your off hand, and the syringe in the main hand.

Backporting

So far, I'm not planning to update the mod to previous versions. At least not in the near future. No promises here.

Modpack Policy

As long as the modpack abides the EULA, you're fine.

Different ports

I am considering making this mod for Fabric in the future, but I can't say for sure when it will happen.
