Description

Mekanism: Engineering

An independent, unofficial addon for Mekanism. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or maintained by the Mekanism team.

Take a quantum-powered mining operation from one site to the next, build an eight-line rock plant, and tune the factory that connects them. Mekanism: Engineering adds seven tools and machines built around Mekanism's energy, configuration and security systems.

Quantum Digital Miner

Quantum Digital Miner

Mine further and faster: a radius of up to 128 blocks and 4× the base mining speed of the standard Digital Miner, with the default settings.

Draw energy directly from a powered Quantum Entangloporter frequency, without running a power cable to the miner. Connect QIO to send mined items straight into storage and pull replacement blocks back out. Item input and output can each use local storage, a quantum frequency or QIO.

When one site is finished, the Companion can move the Quantum Digital Miner to the next, manually or automatically.

Digital Miner Companion — mining and relocation

Digital Miner Companion: offline, mining and finished states

Keep your miner's status, filters and controls in your hand. Check progress, adjust its configuration and plan the next move from the Digital Miner Companion.

It also works with Mekanism's standard Digital Miner for remote monitoring and control. Relocation is exclusive to the Quantum Digital Miner. Remote access respects the miner's permissions and requires its chunk to be loaded.

Quantum Fluid Pump

Quantum Fluid Pump

A 3 × 3 × 3 pumping station that reaches the liquid through Mechanical Pipes. Run a pipe to the source and immerse its intake to start extraction; the pump itself can stay beside your installation.

A Filter Upgrade enables heavy water production. The Source Stabilizer Upgrade supports source preservation where applicable, including lava, at an additional energy cost.

Petrogenic Synthesis Plant

Petrogenic Synthesis Plant with installed modules, fluid towers and eight products

Build rock production on an industrial scale. This 5 × 5 × 4 plant runs eight independently configured synthesis lines, so several materials can be produced side by side.

Feed it water, lava and energy, then fit Hydro Condenser and Magma Synthesizer modules to generate fluids within the plant using energy. Its towers and production deck show the stored fluids and each line's selected product.

Petrogenic Synthesizer

Petrogenic Synthesizer producing obsidian

The compact, single-block option uses water, lava and energy to make the same range of rocks. Start with one Synthesizer for a dedicated material, then move to the Plant when your factory needs several production lines.

Precision Logistical Distributor

Precision Logistical Distributor

Give each production line its share. Configure the output sides, choose equal or weighted distribution, and send precise item counts to the connected inventories. Keep a recipe's ingredients in proportion or give a busier line a larger share of the supply.

Precision Upgrade Controller

Precision Upgrade Controller

Manage a factory's upgrades from a shared stock. Scan nearby machines, set the quantities you want for each machine type, and review the changes before applying them. The Controller installs missing upgrades and recovers excess ones, so adjusting a group of machines does not require visiting every upgrade slot.

Visuals use the actual machine models and item sprites, with preview lighting and illustrative operating states. They are not in-game screenshots; each panel is framed individually.

Installation

Environment: Client and Server — required on both.

Install the addon and Mekanism on both the client and the server. English and French translations are included.

Mekanism is required. Generators, Tools and Additions are optional.

Beta 0.5.1 has been tested through automated checks, solo play and two real clients on a local network. Compatibility with a specific ATM11 version or every third-party mod combination has not been established. Keep the same addon version on client and server, and back up existing worlds before changing their mods.

Configuration and recipes

All ten obtainable addon items and blocks have crafting recipes. The charged Companion shown in the creative inventory is a charged variant of the same item; in survival, craft and charge the Companion normally.

The dedicated mekanismengineering-server.toml file provides 62 server-side settings, including energy costs, storage, ranges, fluid rates and processing limits. It does not expose every internal constant. Crafting and rock-production recipes can be customized separately with datapacks. Mekanism’s own settings remain in its own configuration files.

Mekanism is a required dependency enforced by NeoForge on both sides. This beta accepts Mekanism 10.7.19 up to, but not including, 10.7.20; the exact tested build is 10.7.19.85.
