Memory Loss (Fabric)
Have you ever wondered if you could beat Minecraft if you suddenly forgot how to craft basic survival blocks? Memory Loss is a survival challenge mod where your memory degrades over time, making you forget random recipes!
How It Works
Once the challenge is activated, a background timer starts ticking. Every few minutes (default: 5 minutes, fully customizable), you will suddenly forget how to craft a random item.
- Complete Crafting Block: When you forget a recipe, it disappears from your Recipe Book. Additionally, you cannot craft it manually in either a Crafting Table (3x3) or your inventory (2x2). The output slot will simply remain empty!
- Visual HUD: A clean indicator in the top-left corner keeps track of how many recipes you have forgotten.
- Network Sync: Perfectly optimized for multiplayer! The server tells your client exactly what has been forgotten, preventing any desyncs or ghost items.
Difficulty Levels
Customize the challenge to fit your playstyle:
- EASY: The mod will only make you forget weapons, tools, and armor (swords, pickaxes, helmets, shields, etc.).
- NORMAL: Anything can be forgotten except for the absolute essentials: Crafting Tables, Furnaces, Chests, and Torches are safe.
- HARDCORE: No mercy. Absolutely any recipe in the game can be lost at any moment.
Operator Commands (OP Level 2)
You can manage the challenge on the fly using the following commands:
/memory start— Starts the timer and begins the memory loss challenge./memory stop— Pauses the challenge./memory difficulty <easy/normal/hardcore>— Dynamically shifts the pool of forgettable recipes./memory delay <seconds>— Adjusts how often players forget recipes (e.g.,/memory delay 300for 5 minutes)./memory status— Shows the current state of the game, current difficulty, interval, and how many recipes you have personally forgotten./memory reset— Restores the memory of all players and unlocks all their recipes.

This mod is fully client-server synchronized. It is recommended to install it on both the server and client for the best experience (visual indicators, recipe book clearing).
