Inspired by modern item-tracking gadgets like Apple’s AirTag, MineTag introduces a simple, vanilla-friendly way to keep tabs on any mob, creature, or player in real time. No bulky mini-maps, no coordinate spam—just a sleek tag and a compass pointing you straight home.

• The MineTag Disc: A compact tracking beacon crafted from copper and an amethyst shard. Slap it onto any living entity—horses, dogs, cats, villagers, iron golems, or friends.

• Dynamic Compass Link: Sneak-right-click a tagged mob with a Tracker Compass to sync the frequency. The needle dynamically tracks the entity’s movements wherever they wander.

• Live Telemetry Tooltips: Hovering over your paired compass reveals vital stats at a glance:

  • Target Identity: Custom entity name and type.

  • Distance: Real-time distance measurement in blocks.

  • Dimension: Confirms if the target is in the Overworld, Nether, or End.

• Smart Signal Logic:

  • Active Tracking: Smooth, reliable bearings as long as the mob is in loaded chunks.

  • Offline Memory: If the chunk unloads, the compass remembers and guides you to the entity's last known position.

  • Signal Disruption: If the target dies, despawns, or is in an unreachable dimension, the needle spins erratically to warn you that the link has gone cold.

• Satisfying Audio Feedback: Crisp, custom chime sound effects confirm pairings, uncouplings, and low-range pings.

1. Tag It: Right-click your mob with a MineTag to attach the tracker.

2. Pair It: Right-click the tagged mob with a Tracker Compass to bind the signal.
