No reviews yet
Lets you mine 3 by 3 blocks at once or more based on your enchat level.
Data Packs were introduced to vanilla Minecraft in version 1.13 and allow the server to modify data about the game, or run commands. Data Packs are compatible with all mod loaders.
Forge is a popular mod loader for versions 1.1+ of Minecraft.
Neoforge is a fork of the Minecraft Forge available for versions 1.20.1+ of Minecraft. Many Forge mods are compatible with Neoforge and vice versa.
Fabric is a mod loader for versions 1.14+ of Minecraft, particularly popular for client side and optimization mods.
Quilt is a fork of the Fabric mod loader. Many Fabric mods are compatible with Quilt and vice versa.

Description
Mining Plus (Extra)
Three levels of area mining — 3x3, 5x5, 7x7 — and the bigger the level, the more it eats your pickaxe.
Mining Plus (Extra) adds one enchantment with three levels for pickaxes, axes, shovels and hoes. Break a block and the whole area around it goes with it, in the plane you're facing: flat when you're looking up or down, upright when you're facing a wall.
| Level | Area | Blocks per swing |
|---|---|---|
| Mining Plus I | 3x3 | 9 |
| Mining Plus II | 5x5 | 25 |
| Mining Plus III | 7x7 | 49 |
Every block is checked against the same rules vanilla uses, and drops come from each block's own loot table with your tool passed in — so Fortune multiplies ore, Silk Touch keeps blocks whole, and ore XP matches what hand-mining the same blocks would have given.
Durability rises with reach
Wear is priced by how far out a block sits. The inner ring costs 1 point per block, the middle ring 2, the outer ring 3 — so level III isn't just bigger, it's genuinely expensive.
| Level | Blocks | Durability per swing |
|---|---|---|
| I | 9 | 9 |
| II | 25 | 41 |
| III | 49 | 113 |
A diamond pickaxe manages about 10 level III swings — near 40 with Unbreaking III, which keeps its normal chance to skip each point. Unbreakable tools and Creative mode are exempt.
Features
- Three levels: 3x3, 5x5 and 7x7
- Sneak to switch it off and mine a single block normally
- Fortune and Silk Touch work properly — drops come from the real loot table, not a hardcoded item list
- Correct tool and tier enforced — a stone pickaxe still can't harvest diamond, and a shovel won't chew through stone
- Vanilla ore XP, and none at all with Silk Touch
- Hoe right-click tills the area; shovel right-click paths it — both scale with the level, so a level III hoe tills a 7x7. Rooted dirt still gives up its hanging roots
- Protected blocks are left alone — bedrock, spawners, trial spawners, vaults, portals, budding amethyst, and every container from chests to shulker boxes
How to get it
A treasure enchantment, so it never appears at the enchanting table. Higher levels are deliberately rarer.
Chest loot — books appear at the same rate as any other treasure book, but the level is weighted 6 : 3 : 1 for I : II : III, so level III is one book in ten.
| Source | Chance per chest |
|---|---|
| Desert pyramid | 12.5% |
| Ancient city | 10% |
| Buried treasure | 7.1% |
| Jungle temple | 6.3% |
Librarians — each level is a separate trade, gated behind villager rank:
| Level | Villager rank | Price | Trade uses | Chance a librarian of that rank offers it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| I | Apprentice | 10 emeralds + book | 6 | 50% |
| II | Journeyman | 24 emeralds + book | 4 | 50% |
| III | Expert | 52 emeralds + book | 2 | 40% |
Anvil cost is 8, so two level II books still combine into a III.
Requirements
- Minecraft Java 26.2 — required, not just recommended. The per-level librarian trades use the data-driven villager trade system introduced in 26.2 and cannot work on earlier versions
- No mods and no resource pack — this is a data pack, nothing else
- Works in singleplayer and on servers; each player is tracked independently
Compatibility
This pack overwrites four vanilla chest loot tables (ancient city, buried treasure, desert pyramid, jungle temple) to add the book, and appends to the vanilla librarian trade pools. It will conflict with other packs that edit those same four tables — whichever loads last wins.
Don't run this alongside Mining Plus. They register separate enchantments, so a tool carrying both would break the area twice. Level I here is identical to the whole of Mining Plus, so this pack replaces it outright.
Optional add-on
Mining Plus: Unbound removes the limits — bedrock, portal frames, spawners and entities all break too. Install it on top of this pack and load it last.
The Mining Plus series
Three packs, built to slot together. Pick one base pack, then stack Unbound on top if you want the rules gone.
Mining Plus (this pack)
The original. One treasure enchantment that breaks a 3x3 in the plane you're facing, for pickaxes, axes, shovels and hoes. Fortune and Silk Touch work properly because drops come from each block's real loot table, ore XP matches vanilla, and durability costs exactly what mining all nine blocks by hand would have cost. Sneak to mine a single block. Hoes till a 3x3 and shovels path a 3x3 on right-click.
Mining Plus (Extra)
The bigger sibling, and a straight replacement for the original — its level I is identical to the whole of Mining Plus. Three levels: 3x3, 5x5 and 7x7, up to 49 blocks in one swing. Durability is priced by distance, so the inner ring costs 1 point per block, the middle 2 and the outer 3 — a 7x7 costs 113, meaning a diamond pickaxe manages about ten swings. Higher levels are genuinely rarer: chest books are weighted 6 : 3 : 1, and each level is a separate librarian trade gated behind villager rank, with level III locked to Expert.
Mining Plus: Unbound
The add-on that removes the limits. Bedrock, portal frames, spawners, command blocks and any entity in the way all break too, and blocks that normally drop nothing drop themselves. Needs one of the base packs underneath it, loaded first. Containers stay protected and tier rules still apply, so obsidian keeps wanting a diamond pickaxe.
