Description
Tired of standard patrols? This mod adds new, smaller versions of the vanilla patrols—but they’re just as dangerous.
This mod is part of my Pillagers Extension project, in which I plan to expand on the vanilla conflict between the player and the pillagers. The project will be divided into multiple mods so that players can choose which challenges to add to their game.
You can easily customize this mod to your liking via the config file.
[Mod Overview] After a certain amount of time (by default, 96,000 ticks or 4 in-game days), scaled-down versions of pillager patrols will begin appearing in your world approximately every 8–9 days. The heart of the mini-patrol is its leader; once it appears, it will quickly determine the player’s approximate location and begin moving toward them. Thus, unlike standard patrols, these pillagers will often find you. A mini-patrol most often consists of pillagers and vindicators; a witch rarely joins them. A mini-patrol consists of 3–4 pillagers.
Occasionally (with a 30% chance), the appearance of a mini-patrol will be accompanied by a warning message in the chat, along with an alarm sound that is usually heard underground. Stay alert
In the future, we plan to implement a system where spawn probability depends on the game difficulty and to gradually increase the threat—over time, mini-patrols will visit you more frequently.
