To test in creative, unlock your runes using the /mo_mana commands!

Mo' Mana Mo' Problems is a little mod inspired by a game im pretty sure only I played, called Lost Magic for the nintendo DS. It features the same rune drawing system, but with a twist, needing you to also commit a certain amount of mana to create a spell.

Mo' Mana is built upon the following loop: draw rune -> commit mana -> draw form -> hold spell -> cast when ready. There are three screens for this loop. If you draw the rune associated with Fire, commit enogh mana for Tier III, and choose the Projectile form, for example, you will get a Tier III Fireball, Comet.

When you commit mana, excess mana past the tier breakpoints does not buy you more of anything. The whole point of this is for tier breakpoints to entirely be skilkl based, they are something for you to concentrate on and time right while casting a spell.

This results in spells that deal quite a substantial amount of damage and take some time to formulate on the spot, a combination not really seen much in magic mods. Most magic mods have you prepare spells and spam them to some degree - in Mo' Mana, there is very little to that degree of spamming spells.

Most spells follow a relatively easy to understand progression between tiers, but a select few have been chosen to behave differently. Most of these are Tier III projectile spells. For example, Tier III Arcane is a death beam - a thin laser that disintegrates mobs, but does nothing if misplaced.

The mod does include its own progression system in the form of Tattoos, Staves, and Runegrafts. Staves give you bonuses to each school while you hold them. Tattoos are embedded in your skin to add bonuses to schools. Runegrafts are like tattoos, but for staves, increasing or changing their bonuses.

Wizard mobs show up for players that have 4 or more runes. They cast from the same pool of spells as you, becoming deadly enemies - however, they dont have a lot of health. They drop progression items on death.
