Description
Mob Masher Range is a NeoForge 1.21.1 addon for Mob Grinding Utils 1.1.10 which adds configurable range and offset controls directly to the Mob Masher GUI.
Each Mob Masher can be configured independently with:
* Range X, Y, and Z from 1 to 11
* Offset X, Y, and Z from -9 to +9
* An in-world yellow wireframe preview of the affected area
* Independent Show Area / Hide Area state for multiple Mob Mashers
The controls are integrated directly into the existing Mob Grinding Utils Mob Masher interface.
New Mob Mashers default to a 1×1×1 range with no offset.
## Requirements
* Minecraft 1.21.1
* NeoForge 21.1.247 or newer within the 1.21.1 branch
* Mob Grinding Utils 1.1.10+mc1.21.1
Mob Masher Range is built and tested specifically against Mob Grinding Utils 1.1.10+mc1.21.1. Other MGU versions are not currently supported.

I originally got the idea for this mod after playing on a server where the staff had modified Mob Mashers to damage mobs at range. That server had mob AI disabled as a lag-prevention measure, so ranged Mashers allowed their farms to work without mobs needing to move into them. Later, in my own single-player world, I found myself wanting similar functionality for a much simpler reason: spiders kept climbing above the range of my fans, and I didn't want to add more fans just to push them back down.
While looking into whether this functionality already existed, I found an old MGU GitHub issue where the author had considered adding a range upgrade and a visual representation of the Mob Masher's affected area. The idea was ultimately not pursued because fans and entity conveyors could already move mobs into the Masher. Since I still found configurable range useful for my own setup, I decided to revisit the idea as an addon.
The interface and area visualization are primarily inspired by MGU's Absorption Hopper, while the range and offset controls and limits take inspiration from Just Dire Things. The addition of offsets also means the Mob Masher doesn't necessarily have to be located inside the area it affects, allowing for quite a bit more freedom when designing mob farms.
I don't plan to update or maintain/port this addon unless there's some demand for it. I only did it for the luls as a first project. I also wanted to see if it could be done, since the original author never implemented it. Maybe this encourages the current author to add it to newer versions, maybe it doesn't. It was a fun project regardless! :D
