Mob Journal is a client-side book that records every mob you kill.

  • Complete collection — all 87 living mobs with spawn eggs are listed from the start. Kill one to discover it: the portrait lights up, the name is revealed, and the kill count starts tracking.
  • Mob-head portraits — every entry shows the actual mob's face, not a generic icon.
  • Discovery toast — first kill of each type pops a Mob Discovered! notification.
  • Persistent — kills are saved to config/mobjournal_kills.json and survive restarts. Only your own kills count.

Open it with M (rebindable in controls). Fabric + Quilt, Minecraft 1.21.11.
