Modular Garage Doors

Modular Garage Doors is a Fabric mod for Minecraft 26.2 that adds functional and animated garage doors built from individual panels.

Create doors in different sizes, control them manually, connect them to redstone, or let them automatically react when a player approaches.

Features

  • Build garage doors from 2×2 up to 7×5 panels
  • Automatic opening when a player approaches
  • Automatic closing after the player moves away
  • Separate opening and closing distances to prevent rapid toggling
  • Manual opening and closing
  • Toggleable automatic mode
  • Redstone support
  • Smooth row-by-row opening and closing animation
  • Server-side door logic
  • English and Polish translations

Building a Garage Door

  1. Build a rectangle using Garage Door Panels.
  2. The supported door size is 2–7 blocks wide and 2–5 blocks tall.
  3. Place a Garage Door Controller beside the bottom-left or bottom-right panel.
  4. The controller and panels should face the same direction.

The controller automatically corrects the orientation of connected panels while operating the door.

Controls

  • Right-click the controller — switch to manual mode and open or close the door
  • Shift + right-click — enable or disable automatic mode
  • Redstone signal — force the door to open
  • No redstone signal — return control to the selected automatic or manual mode
