Description

More Darkness

Minecraft is never really dark. Moonless nights are bright enough to walk without a torch, caves glow with light that comes from nowhere, and water hides nothing. More Darkness removes that safety net: darkness becomes something you plan around, and light becomes something you carry.

True darkness would be unfair with camera-eyes, so the mod gives you human ones. Stumble into a cave and you're blind. Give your eyes a moment and your surroundings emerge: close, colorless, fragile. Step back into daylight and it burns. A torch stops being decoration. It's the difference between seeing and guessing.

  • Nights ruled by the moon, pitch-black caves, murky water
  • Eyes that adapt: gradual dark sight, colorless low-light vision, glare when leaving the dark
  • Each system toggleable
