Description

More Lanterns Banner

This mod adds more craftable lanterns to Minecraft.

Why this is needed in Minecraft:
Jack-O-Lanterns: I got sick of having to find Pumpkins. Then having to plant, wait for them to grow and harvest them. You can't even place Jack-O-Lanterns without a block under them first. Who wants to look at that all of the time anyway?

Redstone Lanterns: You literally have to go to Hell (The Nether) and back to craft them. And they have to be powered by a Redstone Torch or a Switch. Too much of a pain to craft, and not Renewable.

I hope Mojang adds the Stone and Cobblestone Lanterns to Minecraft in a future update.

PS: Source Code is also included in the zip files. :-)

Requirements:
Minecraft with Forge installed. (They must match this mods MC version.)

Installation:
Note: Replace #'s with MC version number of the mod.

1: Extract the "More_Lanterns_V1.0_MC1.#.#.zip" to an empty folder.

2: Install Forge for MC 1.#.# if not already installed.

3: Go to the Minecraft directory:
      - In Windows: C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft (Note: %AppData%\.minecraft\mods also works.)
      - In Linux: /Home/[User Name]/.minecraft/mods
      - In Mac: [User Name]/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods (Note: I don't Know if this is correct or not. I don't have Mac OS. Sorry if its wrong.)

5: Copy MoreLanterns_V1_(MC1##).zip to the mods folder. (Make the folder if its not there.)

6: Run Minecraft and enjoy. :-D

Note: If MC 1.#.# Crashes. There might be another mod using one or more Block ID's 184-194. You can change them in the Config file, located at: /.minecraft/config/MoreLanterns.cfg
