Description
Nation Wars
Nation Wars is a multiplayer nation-building, economy, diplomacy, espionage, and territory-warfare mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge servers.
Create or join a nation, select a WW2-inspired country doctrine, claim territory, develop your economy, negotiate with other nations, conduct espionage operations, and fight structured wars over land.
Every doctrine has unique advantages and disadvantages. Economic planning, diplomacy, intelligence, alliances, and timing can be just as important as combat.
Join the Discord for updates, feedback, bug reports, and server discussion.
Nation Management
- Create nations with unique names and country doctrines.
- Use open, invitation-only, or closed membership policies.

War and Territory
- Justify wars before declaring them.

- Follow capture progress through a raid-style boss bar.
- Protect recently respawned defenders with a capture lock.
- Negotiate peace deals and counteroffers.
- Demand money, land, or other concessions.
- Surrender or capitulate when continuing a war is no longer possible.
- Transfer territory automatically when peace terms are accepted.
- Eliminate nations that lose all of their territory.
Espionage
- Create a national spy agency.
- Hire and manage spies.
- Station spies in foreign nations.
- Select missions and target claims through an inventory interface.
- Discover doctrines, treasuries, members, alliances, territory, and other intelligence.
- Scout claims, infiltrate nations, paralyze income, steal money, and disrupt raid protection.
- Assign counterspies to defend your nation.
- Recover and reuse spies after completed missions.
Server Administration
- Configure Nation Wars rules through `/configure`.
- Enable or disable espionage, alliances, guarantees, peace deals, trading, and special claiming rules.
- Configure spawn protection, doctrine restrictions, dimensional claims, colonialism, and other administrative options.
- Save data using versioned files, temporary-write protection, backups, migrations, and corruption recovery.
- Use protected development commands in development environments.
Integration and Localization
- Full Open Parties and Claims integration.
- Nation-owned claims display the nation name instead of the owner’s name.
- Nation territory is visible through compatible Xaero map integrations.
- English, Spanish and Romanian localization.
- Localized commands, messages, menus, item names, lore, tooltips, doctrines, and status displays.
- Persistent wars, spy missions, cooldowns, invitations, trades, and other timers across server restarts.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1
- Java 21
- NeoForge 21.1.227 or newer
- Open Parties and Claims 0.27.5 through 0.27.x
Nation Wars is designed for SMP communities that want political negotiations, economic competition, alliances, betrayal, intelligence operations, and full territorial wars instead of basic land claiming.
Players should install Nation Wars on their client so localized resources follow their selected Minecraft language.
