Description
Instead of spawning in the Overworld, why not spawn in the Nether? This mod simply lets you spawn in a crevace in the Nether with some optional starting loot such as pickaxes, blocks, and food.
Description -
It shouldn't need too much explaination. Spawn in the nether above a bedrock spawn platform. The spawning is configurably by a gamerule, so you can use the mod without having the spawning features (If you want to keep the mod, but play without it's features). The spawning loot is also controlled by gamerules, so you can choose if you want loot at all, and if so, if you want free wooden tools with it (pickaxe, axe, or sword, somewhat damaged).
Once you make a portal in the Nether and escape, your spawn will be set in the overworld and you will be teleported there. Try not to keep all your valuables in the Nether, since you will lose them for a while if you don't take them with you across the portal.
NOTICE -
For those of you who have used the mod in version 1.0.0, there have been reworks to the spawning mechanics since that version that may affect current worlds. Possible effects are immediately being locked in the nether again and or being teleported to the nether. I apologize for any people affected by this.
FAQ -
Q: Can you port to x version?
A: Well, being the selfish caring mod creator I am, I'm trying to port to as many version as possible. However, if you see the tags, I do indeed use Mcreator. This means that I am limited to the versions Mcreator provides. I'm trying to get as many versions as possible, but I can't get that many. I'm sorry.
Q: Can you port to Fabric?
A: I will if I will. In other words, don't expect it.
Q: Can I use this in my modpack?
A: Free advertising, so please do!
Q: Why do you have a FAQ for such a small and horrible generally simple mod?
A: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Enjoy!
